What do I do with the fish when I clean my aquarium?
Answered By Editor
It is not necessary to remove the fish when
you clean your aquarium. You will only remove
up to 20% of the water per cleaning so as not
to disrupt the environment of your pet fish.
Just be very careful as you siphon out the
water not to siphon or damage the fish. It
is also very important that whatever you use
to clean the sides, rocks and plants of your
aquarium does not contain any soap or other
cleaner residue. This includes your hands
(if you use them in the water). Soap
residues can hurt your fish.
