What is the difference between an aquarium and an oceanarium?
Author: Addison Ercanbrack, Aquariums Expert
There is no big difference between an aquarium and an oceanarium except for the size and the species they contain. An oceanarium is basically a bigger scale aquarium. Meaning, oceanariums are far bigger than an aquarium and can hold many species. Most of the time, oceanariums hold bigger species of fishes like whales, sharks, sting rays, etc.. Aquariums on the other hand can hold smaller fishes. Another thing about an oceanarium is that it is heterogeneous oriented. This means that an oceanarium can have two or more species in one place maintaining the actual ecological aura in the ocean.
